In Q4 2021, the Middle East saw notable trends in the performance of the top 5 business apps on a unified platform. Data from Sensor Tower highlights the weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for Microsoft Teams, Zoom Workplace, Google Meet (original), WhatsApp Business, and LinkedIn: Network & Job Finder.

Microsoft Teams experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting strong with over 281K in late September, but saw a mid-quarter dip to around 66K in late November. By the end of December, downloads rebounded to approximately 116K. Weekly active users displayed a similar pattern, starting at 2.3M and dipping to 1.4M in late November before climbing back to nearly 1.9M by the end of the quarter.

Zoom Workplace saw a relatively stable trend in weekly downloads, beginning with around 158K in late September and ending the quarter with approximately 115K. Weekly revenue increased steadily, peaking at about $1.1K in the last week of December. Active users for Zoom Workplace remained fairly consistent, starting at 1.3M and ending at around 1.3M.

Google Meet (original) had a steady decline in weekly downloads, starting at 51K in late September and decreasing to around 37K by the end of the quarter. Active users also saw a downward trend, from 429K in late September to approximately 291K by the end of December.

WhatsApp Business maintained a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 123K in late September and peaking at nearly 139K in mid-December. Active users consistently grew, beginning at 4M and reaching around 4.5M by the end of December.

LinkedIn: Network & Job Finder showed a stable trend in weekly downloads, hovering around 30K throughout the quarter. Weekly revenue peaked at approximately $196K in early December. Active users remained steady, starting at 1.3M and ending at around 1.3M by the end of December.
